Installed CiviCRM - dashboard background makes text unreadable
June 13, 2011, 05:42:43 pm
I just installed CiviCRM 4.0.2 on a new Drupal 7.2 site that we're in the process of setting up.  When I log into CiviCRM and the dashboard is displayed the background is a field of green circles with checkmarks in them.  It's made up entirely of the image message-24-ok.png when I view the source.  It makes the entire text of the dashboard unreadable unless you select all the text with the mouse, which is extremely annoying.  Anybody have any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks,

-Bruce

If I had to guess this might be related to your theme. Can you change to default or garland theme and check CiviCRM dashboard.

I tried switching back to Garland as well as Bartik and both showed the same thing.  We're using the Danland theme which bills itself as "CiviCRM friendly" and it's also showing it.  Here are links to some screenshots so you can see exactly what we're seeing:

Have you tried clearing your files/civicrm/templates_c and also browser and drupa cache?

This is quite odd. Have you tried using another browser?

I know this hasn't been posted to in years, but I'm getting the same issue with a new install of D7.28 - Civi4.4.5 and Garland Theme running on a MAMP installation.  It's also a multisite installation... the main site is getting the green circles with checks, a sub site is getting the correct dashboard.  Also the civi menu never displays on the 'sites' that are having the issues, though I can access the pages if I manually type in the paths.  The CiviCampaign menu doesn't show up in the working sites either even though the component is active.

Flushing drupal and civi cache does nothing.
I deleted everything in the files/civicrm/templates_c directory, nothing.
Nothing is showning up in PHP, apahce, or mysql logs.

At a loss... hopefully this will get some attention this long after the original post.

stevegmag, I would suggest you post a new thread will full details about your install, and what steps you did, such as on what sites you installed CiviCRM and which folders have their own civicrm.settings.php files and exactly what issues you are having.

But in a fresh post in a new thread.

Then we can better help you.
