PDF reports in 3.4 - Has much changed? Old reports borked.
June 13, 2011, 07:15:32 pm

Hello,

I had a modified / customised (both php and tpl files) Walklist report. I've upgraded through various versions of civicrm in the past and I'm well versed in how to copy the template files over from old to new.

However on 3.4 upgrade, my customised reports are all over the place when I preview my pdf file - it's like it hasn't generated them in the first place.

Can anyone shed some light onto what changes has been made into the way civicrm 3.4 generates it's pdfs please?

Hi,

There was a duff merge that affected these in 3.4.2 & less. I tried to fix for 3.4.3 but also to include some options through a drupal admin settings form - since it was very broken in 3.4.2 I am not 100% sure I got it back to how it was in the 3.3 series but will be in 3.4.2

NB - 3.4.3 is out tomorrow - if you upgrade to that & then see what it's doing & we can try to get it right. What were you customising to achieve?

Eileen, my report was already customised and working...until I upgraded. It's basically a modified walklist report, with a load of fields stripped out and replaced with fields that are important to us. Also, our customised walklist reports uses an algorythm to add on walklist serial numbers to each of the contact...then it "appears" that each walklist has a serial number. It helps us when we come to input data as we can have the user search for a walklist by it's serial number and the idea is that by hook and crook they will see the exact same contacts on their batch profile page as they do on the customised walklist.

As I said, all of that was working before. I will upgrade to the latest version tonight and see what happens.

Ok - see how it goes - if it still doesn't work post your code somewhere & I'll take a look
