Bug: Activities count not accurate

When I look at a Contact in CiviCRM who has a number of Activities against them, the number of Activities is displayed as 0.
In this case there were several Activities, all of them of type 'Print PDF Letter' (and the subject was blank in each case) but the number displayed in the tab (by the word 'Activities') is 0. 

This is in CiviCRM 3.4.2 (but I reckon thus used to work in 3.3.6). ???

Is the status on all of the activities "Completed?"

I've been having the same problem but it looks like CiviCRM 3.4.3 fixes it.
