Configuration file could not be found
June 22, 2011, 04:23:06 am
I upgraded Joomla 1.0 to 1.5 and upgraded Civicrm from 2.0 to 2.1.6 following these instructions. I got an 'civicrm installed correct' message. However when I go to any of the Civicrm pages in the Joomla admin I get the following error:

Warning: file_put_contents(/domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/media/civicrm/upload/Config.IDS.ini) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/IDS.php on line 113

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'Configuration file could not be found' in /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/IDS/Init.php:134 Stack trace: #0 /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/IDS/Init.php(87): IDS_Init->setConfigPath('/domains/amster...') #1 /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/IDS/Init.php(115): IDS_Init->__construct('/domains/amster...') #2 /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/IDS.php(116): IDS_Init::init('/domains/amster...') #3 /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/Invoke.php(74): CRM_Core_IDS->check(Array) #4 /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/admin.civicrm.php(45): CRM_Core_Invoke::invoke(Array) #5 /domains/amsterdams in /domains/domainname.nl/DEFAULT/j15/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/IDS/Init.php on line 134

I checked the civicrm.settings.php but all seemed okay. What else can be wrong?

I found a solution here http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,15142.msg64779.html#msg64779. I emptied civicrm_domain and now the content of Civicrm show up.

I don't have an upload folder and I certainly have to contact my hosting company about the write access.

Thanks, Tom
