All,

Seem to have found an issue, and for the life of me figure out if it's civicrm or views, or what that's causing the issue.

Basically, if civicrm is enabled, and I enable views, I get memory exceeded errors from php.

If I disable civicrm, I can enable views, but then when I try to enable civicrm, I get the same errors. The actual file that causes the error varies every time, so it's not that. Seemingly something broke CiviCRM and views integration with a views update a week or two ago, and I can't figure out what.

Has anyone else seen this?

OK - we were trying to figure out if having rules enabled was part of the problem. There are some merge problems in the 4.0.4 version of CiviCRM rules but I didn't come up with a conclusive answer as we turned off views & rules & I haven't gone back to the site yet.

(I think it's fixed in the latest version in svn http://svn.civicrm.org/civicrm/branches/v4.0/drupal/modules/civicrm_rules)

You can also play with turning rules on & off - although you don't actually seem to have civicrm_rules enabled

OK - so if you can't get Civi enabled try moving the folder out of the modules folder - then you should be able to get to the modules page to try turning other things off. Of course if it is in any way related to the civicrm_rules module you could just remove that

nope. just tried removing the whole civicrm_rules module, and it still fails to enable civicrm...

I'd have to guess killing the views civicrm module would fix it, but not sure if civicrm will work without it.

the only way I've been able to get civicrm enabled at all is to disable the drupal views module, which obviously breaks a lot of other stuff. =/

It's no big rush since this is a dev server, but I would like to track this down. Let me know if there's anything I can try.

removing the civicrm views module should only break civicrm views integration - so worth trying

that appears to have "worked" in that civicrm enables, and I can actually use the site.

So, it appears something with the civicrm views module isn't getting along with at least drupal views 7.0-3.0-rc1 (though I'm currently using 7.x-3.x-dev).

The real issue is, I'm not sure exactly when things broke, so I can't look at the changelog for views to see when it broke. =/

We have a site on 4.0.3 + commit 34901 & I think that's working (Pete says it is)

I don't think the issue is civicrm though. I think it's views. This started when I was running civicrm 4.0.  I updated to 4.0.4 to see if it worked.

I'll see if I can set up a new install of drupal 7, views, and civicrm and see what I get. Or try reverting back to a views from a few weeks ago.

I don't know if it points to anything but the only other time I saw the same symptoms were when the payment processor code changed in core -  any processor classes that didn't implement a particular function then caused the same symptoms (we saw segmenation faults when the memory was high enought)
