Save vs. Submit Button
June 30, 2011, 05:50:10 am
Using the standard profile template, the Save button is really a Submit button. The application form I've created is quite long, and sometimes there's a need to exit it in the middle. I therefore have three questions.

1) How do I change the text of the Save button to read "Submit"?
2) Is it possible to add a "Save & Continue" button?
3) How would a user return to the information they already input and pick up where they left off?

What difference do you make between save and submit ?

To change the text, you might want to use word replacement.

Submit would save and exit the form; Save would save and stay on the form, and make it possible for the user to easily return to the form and pick up where they left off.

Will take a look at wordreplacements, though I'm not sure I want to change the word SAVE everywhere -- just on this form.

if you don't find a route to doing this, one option i would explore would be to use Webform-CiviCRM integration module since Webform let's you save and then pick it up later on to continue. Just a thought

Of course that suggestion is only for Drupal - maybe update your Profile so we know your CMS since i see you referencing joomla elsewhere

Have to add to this:

If you're embedding the profile in another page using the HTML Form Snippet, you can find the code for the button and change it for that particular page.
