I'm very new to this, trying to export or make a report in .csv format that includes columns for names (first/last) of contacts who donated in the last 6 mo., columns for names (first/last) of people they honored, and likewise, columns for names of people they memorialized (if someone was honored or memorialized).  I see that contribution records indeed do include a field at the bottom -- either in honor of or in memory of field-- that is filled with a contact name when the donation is of one of these types, so it should be possible to create a report, or simply export, information in this field, shouldn't it?  But short of viewing details of each contribution, I can't figure out how.  I also see that there are groups called "Donors-Honored Someone" and "Donors-Memorialized Someone" that list such donors, but again, cannot figure out how to use this.  Can you please help?

This is a great question.  It doesn't work by default right now, but I have created a custom Report that does get and then export honoree names.  I could give this report to you and you could tinker with it, alter it to suit your needs, and then install it as a new CiviReport template on your server.  If you are not a programmer I could give you the report but you probably wouldn't know what to do with it, in which case you could pay me a nominal fee and I would install it on your server for you.  I hope you are using at least version 3.3 of civicrm, also.

Has this been fixed yet? I, too, would like to export honoree information with donations.
