Payment of Membership in different currency

We've just set up CiviCRM and haven't got online payments enabled yet but I want to add memberships for people who have paid offline and I want to future proof it so I don't have to do all that work again. 

My problem is this; our members pay a set amount annually and they pay it in their own currency either AUD or NZD.  I know I can select currency type when I put in a contribution manually but I can't set it on the Membership Types page with the minimum fee.
We know we eventually want people to be able to renew their existing memberships somehow online so is there a way to do it where the minimum fee is set to their local currency or a way to link a currency type with a particular membership for instance having a "Membership type NZD" and "Membership type AUD"?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You can create separate membership pages for "Membership type NZD" and "Membership type AUD". So for renewal you can redirect them to specific online renewal page. You can configure respective online membership pages to accept AUD or NZ currency.
