Custom Data Tokens in CiviMail Failing (3.4.4)
July 05, 2011, 06:01:03 am
Hi

Just following the instructions here:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/Mail-merge+Tokens+for+Contact+Data

And inserting custom data tokens in a civimail using:

e.g. {contact.custom_9} where custom data id = 9, {contact.custom_28} where custom data id = 28.

Fails and the output in the mail is sent as  {contact.custom_9} {contact.custom_28} etc...

Hi Lobo.

Yes they are contact object and are a mixture of single and multiple values.

However it seems to be some sort of caching issue.

Quoting DaveJ

"Well lookee here, all I did was edit settings for the Technical Details cf group and it all works now! I just unticked "collapse in adv. search" & saved & it worked. Then changed it back, still worked. The sort of cache issue we've seen occasionally I guess, e.g. in import, with custom fields hiding."

Just to add we also seen this type of caching issue with ACL's, where simply disabling re-enabling solves the problem. I can understand the need to cache but surely there should be some form of admin side flush caching implemented?
