How to send Invoices for Memberships either 'Pay Later' or 'renew now'
July 06, 2011, 09:40:58 pm
Hi - couple of issues.

1/ Member signs up online. Pay Later. Gets invoice. Loses it. Requests another. How do we send it?

I tried going in to Membership Record, Edit, not record payment, send receipt.

Email is sent as a 'receipt' not an invoice - ie it says "Please print this receipt for your records."

Does this require some changes to the Sys Tpl Msg to change some of the 'if' clauses so that this would instead go out with the 'Pay Later' instructions?

This would seem like a useful tool - or maybe there is a better approach?

Reading this http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,13041.msg56825 made me think that Eileen had already solved this (she isn't here to ask) and think I am reading too much in to it.

I also tried Find Member to see if 'send invoice/receipt' was an option under Actions, or if it was provided as a default template to use if I choose 'send email' but no such luck.

2/ Client is asking what steps can be used to send out an email 'your membership is due' with a link to the site but also that would include a PDF invoice for those who prefer to respond by paper. Any such route exist because I haven't found it?

Thanks
