Hello
I am using civicrm on joomla1.6,
I have created a report and set it to dashboard, now I want its graphical version.
I searched a lot on this forum to find solution then I learned that there are some "view" settings for report under "report
settings" where we can set if we need graph/bar chart etc.

I have attached screenshot of my report settings. I could not find any option where I turn on its graphical view.

Please can you help me to display graphical report.

Hi,

Currently chats are available only for specific reports like Event Income Report (Summary), Donor Report (Summary) etc, not for all reports.
To add graphical format of that report on CiviCRM dashboard, u need to create an new instance (OR update already created instance ) of those report templates ( civicrm/admin/report/template/list&reset=1 ) by checking "Available for Dashboard?" in report setting of that report.

Hello Rajan,

Thanks for your reply!

I can see list of reports on administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/report/list&reset=1
when I click on my report I wish to use and check "Available for Dashboard?" then I dont find option to set graphical view.
Although I got report in dash-lets there on dashboard.

Even I could not find such thing for "Donor" report as well.
Please see my screenshot I have attached with my original post.

Can you please let me know how can I add graphs to reports. [may be some good link if you have]

Hi,
As I told above, graphical view not available for each report.
But for example you can check this for "Donor Report (Summary)"  ( civicrm/report/instance/3?reset=1 )
On right side of 'Export to CSV' button, there is a select option to 'View' the report result in graphical format.
# select chart type (eg: bar chart), click 'View'.
# goto 'Report Setting',  check 'Available for Dashboard?' and update report.
It will make graphical format of report available under "Configure Your Dashboard" option on CiviCRM home page, from where you can enable that report for Dashboard.

If you want to allow graphical format for your own custom report please refer file
CRM/Report/Form/Contribute/Summary.php

when I tried to go to
administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/report/instance/3?reset=1
then it send me to
administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/report/list&reset=1 with a message "Could not find template for the instance."

also i could not see any csv export/view option when i go to "Donor Report (Summary)"

I am not sure if something is wrong with my installation.

I will look into the path you mentioned to refer for adding charts on custom reports.
