Oops! Incorrect CiviCRM Version
July 07, 2011, 11:49:45 am
Hello,

I installed CiviCRM 4.0.4 on a Drupal 7.4 system yesterday, without any problems.
Today I wanted to install it on another Drupal 7.4 system, without luck. I keep getting the message "Oops! Incorrect CiviCRM Version";
although it is an identical Drupal installation... and the same CiviCRM 4.0.4 package for Drupal...

What am I missing? I must say that I actually removed the previous CiviCRM and Drupal installs from my server, and started from scratch today. I also removed the databases and created new ones today. But that should not be causing CiviCRM not to recognise that it is being installed on Drupal... ?

Thanks

Hershel

Yes, if it's the exact same code base, then you shouldn't see any such message. Where is the second codebase? Same server? a subdomain?

Try to provide more details.

Hello,

well i am pretty new to drupal etc; so i m not completely familiar with all the details.
I placed the CiviCRM folder into localhost/drupal/sites/all/modules/
I'm running a WAMP server on my PC... using PHP5.3.5 and MySQL 5.5.8

So where is the "first" Drupal you installed on and where is the "other" one?

i removed the 'first' drupal installation (localhost/drupal);
but replaced it with a new install in exactly the same location...

I don't follow what the problem is here. Did you remove all files from that directory and completely empty the databases before reinstalling? If not, just try that.

If there is a problem, then try to explain the exact steps you take to reproduce this problem.

ok so i had a drupal installation, on which i installed civicrm.

next;
- i removed the drupal installation folder (localhost/drupal)
- i removed the drupaldb database
- i removed the civicrm database

then,
- i created a new drupaldb database
- and then i reinstalled drupal, in the same location (localhost/drupal)

If you removed all the files from localhost/drupal and then put there a fresh copy of Drupal 7 and you put CiviCRM 4 into localhost/drupal/sites/all/modules then it will work.

If you get an error, then it would appear that you are doing something aside from that. If it worked the first time, it should work again. :)
