civiCRM RSS feed - silly idea?
July 08, 2011, 02:39:48 pm
We've been playing with Yammer -

It would be nice to have a latest activity feed from civiCRM -

Not just What are you working on? But 'Who have you been meeting?'

You can slap an RSS feed into Yammer - and you can create views of activities in Drupal;

It was all looking so do-able.

You can only create a RSS feed using nodes, not fields - otherwise you get an error 'missing row-style plugin' or some such.

On reflection it is probably a silly idea - an RSS feed and ACL don't really go together - You can not tell anyone about the URL and hope they don't stumble upon it, I suppose.

Agh well, back to the drawing board - I really aught to learn to code!
