New Country: South Sudan

Our organisation has members in the new country of South Sudan. Although we rely on custom code for our current production environment, we want to rely on the civicrm_country table when we upgrade. Of course the table currently does not have an entry for South Sudan.

It is expected that the 2-letter code for South Sudan will be "SS" so I could add an entry in the table for that but, if we were to wait for that to become official, how does CiviCRM distribute table updates? Would we have to wait for an entirely new release that reflects the change?

Hi,

I think you should add a JIRA on this. You could add it yourself if you think you can remember to remove it again before you next upgrade (as it could upset the upgrade script)
