"Group of Custom Fields" are in "Contact Record" rather than profile

Hi,

Just wondering why "Group of Custom Fields" are visible in "Contact Record" of a person on civiCRM rather than "CiviCRM Profiles". Is there any way to make "CiviCRM Profiles" to be available in "Contact Record" listing in civiCRM just like "User Record" in drupal if say all "CiviCRM Profiles" are made Used For "View/Edit User Account" and "Profile" .

Initially i thought if i select a "civicrm profile" Used for "Profile" option in "Profile Settings", it will appear in civiCRM "Contact Record" but this is not the way i think. If it is not then what is this option Used for "Profile" in "Profile Settings" of a civiCRM profile. I tried going to page civicrm/profile page, civiCRM says "Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred."

The profile setting allows that profile to be exposed via urls that start with civicrm/profile/

Please check the documentation for more details on profiles and their use
