How to upgrade 4.01 on Joomla 1.6.5
July 13, 2011, 03:05:21 am
G'Day,

I have looked in the doco, but I cannot seem to find an answer to a very simple question. How do I upgrade my existing CiviCRM installation of 4.01 to 4.04. What is the supported approach? As this is a production installation I want to minimise downtime as well as not lose any data.

All pointers and suggestions greatly appreciated.

You should need to just uninstall then reinstall. The directions here:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC32/Upgrade+Joomla+Sites+to+3.2

should apply. Please let us know if it works for you.

Hi TheEdge,
Did you try to upgrade it yet?
How did it go?
I have the same and it would be great to know if it works without any problem.
Thanks
