"NEW VERSION" bug?
July 13, 2011, 11:57:37 pm
I'm running Joomla 1.5 and CiviCRM 3.3.5.  I get the following message:

Quote
A newer version of CiviCRM is available: 4.0.4 (this site is currently running 3.3.5). Read about the new version on our website and download it here.

Isn't version 4.04 for Joomla 1.6?  Shouldn't the message say to upgrade to the latest 3.x version?  Just curious.

yes, our change detection script was not designed to handle multiple dual releases :(

Would be good if you can take a look at it and figure out how easy it would be to make the fix and educate the script that 3.4.x == 4.0.x and 3.4 is for J1.5 / D6 etc

thanx
