db error when enabling logging

I just enabled logging on a 3.4.4 site and got the same "DB Error: DB Error: a515ac9c2796ca0e23adbe92c68fc9fc" message referenced here: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=16574.0

That sounded like a great explanation at first, but I am running Mysql 5.5.9 (mamp) locally, so this shouldn't have been a problem. Has anyone else run in to this and fixed it?
