DB Error: constraint violation
July 20, 2011, 06:41:30 am
I need to be able to collect information from membership to create a directory that will be published.  I made a "Contribution" page not requiring money, added "Name and Address" profile and another "contribution" profile with custome data fields to collect the specific info I need.  The Live Page comes up fine, but when I fill it out, I get DB Error: constraint violation message.  There's an Error Details bar with no details.

Any thoughts?

We would need to see the error. You can't see it because it's hidden. But if you can do this in Firefox and you have Firebug installed (and you're a bit technically inclined) you can right click on the error arrow and click "examine" and then you will see the HTML in the Firebug window.

If you delete the class of that div tag, then it will appear. Try deleting a few classes nearby if it fails. This is 100% safe and will NOT hurt anything at all. To undo, you just refresh your page.
