Is CiviCRM compatible with JomSocial?

Are there any documentation / case study that talk about these two?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

We've not heard of anyone whos integrated JomSocial with CiviCRM. WOuld be great if you can give it a spin and see what works and what changes / integration needs to be done

What do you mean when you say compatible?

Here are a few items that come to mind...

1) Which profile system would be primary or exclusively used?

2) Can Civi events (donations, event registrations) be piped into the JomSocial Activity Stream?

3) Speaking of Event Registrations, since both JS and Civi have Event Registration functions, which to use?

4) Maybe CiviCase, certain categories anyway, could be interesting to add to the Activity Stream, or to show to certain Joomla groups somehow (internal staff and/or community experts)

These are just structural considerations, as I'm just beginning to look at this.

I'm a bit late to the thread with this, but our company completed a major integration of JomSocial with CiviCRM/CiviEvents in late August 2011. Much of the CiviEvents functionality has been brought to the frontend of Joomla and blended into JomSocial.  The site is a Volunteer Community run by Activate Good, a nonprofit located in Raleigh, NC with a mission to help connect volunteers with other nonprofits in our area.

There's some information about the extent of the integration work in the announcements area of our forums, and a video with a few screen shots and a bit of information about the site on our homepage.

We're pretty excited about the site and the plans Activate Good has to further enhance it over the next couple of years.
