July 25, 2011, 08:00:53 am
Hi there,

I would like to start a user group, either for switzerland or for the D-A-CH-Region (germany, austria, switzerland) in order to get people together how are interested, knowledgeable or in need of support. How should I go about with this? Please advise

Thanks and best regards

if it is only for Switzerland we could of course easily meet up in Zurich. If it was for D-A-CH, we might as well have online reunions and, for example, an annual offline gathering.

Hi there,

Starting a usergroup is pretty easy and fun.  You might want to ask info@civicrm.org for permission to write blog posts and then write a post with details of the next meeting.

You can also get it promoted in the forum blast, which a lot of people ready, and you can also get your meet up set up using CiviEvent on the civicrm.org civicrm install.

There are a few other users in the D-A-CH region so hopefully they will pop up here and/or at the user group.

Have fun and let us know if you have any other questions or need more help!
Michael

PS. Best way to meet a lot of CiviCRM people and learn a lot about the CiviCRM community right now is to come to CiviCon in London.  Would be cool to see you and talk to you there if you can make it.
