Author Topic: Error with Group Role Sync (Read 690 times)

I am getting log entries of the form "Error: Unable to sync role XXX" in my Drupal logs when anyone with a Civi group/Drupal role logs in.
If I turn on debugging I do not get any extra information so not sure what the consequences of this are. Do I need to

Unrelated, I also tried creating a new group/drupal role and found that if I create the group, add people to it, then create the drupal role and the associations the groups/roles are not synchronized. If on the otherhand I create the group, create the role, add the association rule, then add contacts to the group the roles are synchronized. Is this expected behaviour?

Hi Merlise - I just fired up Group Role synch on one of my sandboxes on 3.4.5 - loaded the module - configured by setting a Group to a Role.

Then I started getting odd behaviour eg if person had the Role then when they logged in the lost the role but got added to the Group by API. Which seems backwards but might explain the error log - not that i could replicate that.

I wonder if the API has changed and potentially reversed things but that the module is now out of date??
