I have noticed a problem with CiviCRM that I could use some help with. I have an existing CiviCRM site that I just noticed when users are registering for an event, the credit card information is not required when I use the Discount by Signup date.

I have been trying to figure this out for the past day and have made several new installs and I still encountered the problem. I am using Drupal 6.22 and CiviCRM 3.4.4. I used authorize.net as my payment gateway. I created an event, had a regular register price of 200. Then I added a discount by signup date, with that price being 150. With the discount active, I can skip over the credit card section all together and register for an event. If I do not have the discount active, it does requires the credit card/billing info like normal.

I just did a fresh install of Drupal and CiviCRM, with no modifications, themes or other modules and I the problem is still there. Is there something I am doing wrong, or is this a bug? I am still fairly new to CiviCRM, but I know Drupal pretty well.

Hi Ryan,

This might very well be a bug, and should be tested on the demo site.  If replicated on demo site, so it should be reported ASAP as a bug.

1. Can you produce this behavior on the Demo site?  (do NOT use your own Authorize.net, instead setup a "dummy" payment processor on the demo site)
2. If yes, have you considered filing an issue in Issue tracker?

Thanks for the advice. I tested it on the demo version and found the same result.

I posted this as a bug at the link you gave me.
