Link to install not working
August 02, 2011, 01:21:34 am
Just as a note: In the installation manual, it says that to install civicrm in Drupal, on can simply copy the link and insert it the module install interface. However, this link should be shorter than it is:

Instead of
Code: [Select]
http://sourceforge.net/projects/civicrm/files/civicrm-stable/4.0.4/civicrm-4.0.4-drupal.tar.gz/download?use_mirror=surfnet it should only be
Code: [Select]
http://sourceforge.net/projects/civicrm/files/civicrm-stable/4.0.4/civicrm-4.0.4-drupal.tar.gz.
Otherwise you get an error message.

Hi,

Thanks for noticing. Could you correct the page directly? (it's a wiki, you can edit it)

Done. I just had to create a login first.

I've just tried using the link method to install 4.0.5 and got the error message about an invalid checksum. I used the URL: http://sourceforge.net/projects/civicrm/files/civicrm-stable/4.0.5/civicrm-4.0.5-drupal.tar.gz
Should it have a dot at the end as in the above post, or a trailing slash as I saw elsewhere?
