adding field to custom data group after using view edit group
August 03, 2011, 08:10:52 pm
I am dealing with a new and my first install of Civicrm 4.04 on Drupal 7.  I have created 3 different custom data groups and immediately put up to 3 custom fields in each.  I would like to add a couple of fields to one of the groups but when I click on the view and edit custom fields link I get a blank screen on Firefox and a 404 error in IE.  This seems to basic to be a bug so I am wondering what I could have misconfigured.  I am logging in as the administers account.

Can you please try to replicate this on http://d7.demo.civicrm.org. If you are able to replicate then please file a bug in issue tracker.

Thanks
Kurund

It performed normally in the demo so I must have some issue with my install.

When I hit the view edit group link this link is at the top of my browser http://localhost/index.php?q=civicrm/admin/custom/group/field&reset=1&action=browse&gid=3 however the screen is blank in firefox.  I have the same issue with the preview link right next to it.

I have just found that the links work on the ubuntu server that hosts Drupal and Civicrm

When I look at that url above I see it says localhost Given that this does not work from a remote machine it and does from the local machine I am guessing that is my problem  Probably an issue in a setup file any ideas?

yes, localhost will work only from your machine
