After upgrading to 4.0.5, I'm finding that for some contacts only about 5 activities are shown under the Activities tab for a given contact. The summary tab correctly shows the full number of activities.

For example, one contact has 41 activities. On the first page under the Activities tab, 5 activities are shown. If I click on the page counter at the bottom, I get another list of 4 activities and it says "Showing 26 to 41 of 41 entries".

Any ideas?

Hi Kurund. Thanks for looking at this. No, I can't replicate it on the demo.

On my installation, the database still has all the activities, but Civi is only showing the most recent third/quarter of activities for most contacts, although the displayed count is correct.

Any ideas for how to fix the database?

Ok, it's not me going mad.

I have now replicated this on the demo site. Basically, it's caused by activities that are "With" multiple contacts. Somehow, all of the other contacts are counted within the 25 (or whatever) to be shown. This restricts the list of activities shown beneath such an activity.

If you go into the demo site and look at the activities under "Test Registrant", you'll see that I've put a phone call activity in there with lots of people and the activities below it are not shown:

Looks like a bug to me, as it didn't used to do this.
