Views' "Current Employer" field missing in 4.0.5?
August 05, 2011, 03:49:41 pm
Just noticed this while working on my Member Directory using Views... I upgraded to 4.0.5 from 4.0.3 yesterday.

Where I used to see the Current Employer field in my list of fields there was a Missing Handler error message. At first I tried to remove the field and re-add it, but I couldn't find it in the list of available fields anymore... "Current Employer ID" is still there, but the name field is gone. Thinking maybe it was just a glitch related to the upgrade, I tried re-adding the CMS Integration values to my settings.php file, flushing Views' cache as well as all Drupal caches... but no dice.

I have confirmed the field is still accessible using CiviCRM Profiles (I'm building both a Drupal Views and Civi Profile version of my Member Directory to see which one my client likes better). I just don't understand why it would suddenly be missing from the list of available fields in Views.

Does anyone know how I can bring it back?

Any help or insight is much appreciated.

Hi there.  I am having the same issue in version 3.4.  I was wondering if you had found a fix for it?

Not exactly. I was able to get essentially the same data to display by using the "CiviCRM Contacts: Organization Name" field though. Maybe try that as a workaround.

Thank you!  That worked for me. :)
