Delete install Directory?
January 25, 2008, 09:44:20 am
Wondered what the general concensus is about deleting the install directory after installation?

If you visit the install.php page following an installation it prints out the server directory path for all to see yikes! :o

I've temporarily replaced that output with "NOYB" until I know it's ok to completely delete the /install directory.

Anyone?

Rob

Hmm - showing the server directory path on that "Oops - CiviCRM is already installed..." message seems like a bad idea. I've updated index.php for 2.0 to just display "[your Drupal root directory]". In the meantime, it should be fine to delete that directory as it's only used for installation.
