Paypal Payflow Link Extension Configuration

As far as I can tell, the documentation for paypal payflow link extension installation and configuration on the wiki is incomplete or misleading. (see http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/PayFlow+Link)

For starters, it does not detail actually installing the code on your server and where that code should be.  Seems to me that any code should be able to be in SVN if you are using it, and putting it in the files/civicrm/extensions doesn't necessarily allow for that because often the files directory is excluded from svn.  If the code is to go in civicrm/extensions, then you are (gently) hacking core, aren't you? by adding something into the core source code structure?

Regardless, when i tried to install the payflow link extension in the files/civicrm/extensions directory it did show up on the extensions page, and I was able to enable it, but it isn't clear that it actually installed properly, i can't seem to hit the post back url and get the error that is listed on the wiki page, instead i just get a drupal page not found.

Last thing, the wiki has no information about what the civicrm-side configuration should be, see this screenshot https://skitch.com/gregoryheller/fqgr8/payflow-link

Those fields are username & password - I think the same ones you use to login to their interface.

Michau was going to fix something in that packaging but got busy - I'm not sure what needed fixing - but you should be able to set your extensions directory outside of the files directory.

Note that the customer who is using this on live is not using it as an extension (that came later) so the extension packaging is not tested at all - except that Michau took a look at it.
