How to limit one record set submission per user?
August 11, 2011, 06:25:31 am
Hi ,

I am currently voluntarily developing a blood donation society for just community welfare in my city. I am using Joomla as CMS and CiviCRM as a way to collect users data such as Blood group, cell number and city etc from the citizens interested for blood donation.

Well, the problem using civiCRM is , I want that one person can only submit only one set of details, that is only his/he own details, but the problem is even i restrict the prifile registration to "user registration required", a user can submit the form as many times as he wants after logging in to the site. Can you please tell how to do so that one registrerd user can submit the form only once?

Your help will serve as a support to the cause for the help of humanity.

Very keenly waiting for your assistance.

 Hello mjawadsheikh,

Go to Administer-->Customize Data and Screens-->Profiles. Find The profile you are using and select Settings. Expand the Advanced settings accordion and set What to do upon duplicate match to Issue warning and do not save.

Cheers,
Jason
