Drupal CIVICRM Post Install: How can CIVICRM work in a Sub Domain?
August 11, 2011, 02:57:02 pm
Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on the CIVICRM forum, very nice to meet everyone.

I work for a non profit organization and we have recently installed Drupal/CIVICRM in a sub-folder of our website root.

ex:  www . website . com/Drupal

at our web-server we created a sub domain that points to that sub folder:

ex:  civicrm . website . com

When accessed through this subdomain everything seems to work fine for any core Drupal functionality, however upon clicking on CIVICRM links it displays an "Internal Server Error" as the page cannot be found...

What is happening is CIVICRM links are adding the drupal sub-folder to the sub domain directory.

ex:  civicrm . website . com/Drupal

I imagine there must be some internal setting within CIVICRM or Drupal that can alert it that the sub-domain is the new directory.  I know how to make such a change in Wordpress.

I've searched documentation as well as google and this board, and can't seem to find any direct answer to this question, though the basic premise of the question seems very straight forward and simple.

Does anyone have any insight here?

Thanks,

Chad
