buildForm - force "register a different person"
August 12, 2011, 04:16:22 pm
I want to force the "Register a Different Person" setting on some of my Event forms. This is because we have Parents that are registering their kids of classes. Unfortunately the form always defaults the event participant data to the parent's names.

I've been working on a buildForm hook, but that defaulted content is so pervasive at that point that I have to comb through the form and remove it everywhere. And I still can't seem to remove the notice that gets displayed at the top.

Does anyone have a better way to force the form to not process all this default data? Effectively remove all this default processing AND the message?

 can you give parents the link directly to "register as a different person"

q=/civicrm/event/register?&cid=0&reset=1&id=EVENT_ID

thanx

I suppose I could do that. I'll have to customize the Event Page templates and make custom Menu links.  I'll take a try doing it that way, it's certainly better than that I'm doing now. Thanks!
