Extensions directory is not recognized
August 13, 2011, 03:11:35 am
I have created and configured a directory for extensions called "civicrm_extensions"

However, when updating the CiviCRM directory setting for the extensions location, it saves my setting but I still get the warning:

Your extensions directory is not set or is not writable. Click here to set the extension directory.

I have checked the permissions on the directory ( which is located in my "public_html" folder) and do not see anything amiss.

Can you please check the PHP code and figure out why its giving a warning. Would be great if you can submit a patch to resolve this

Hello All,

Just wanted to flag this issue as still a problem. I have set an extensions directory, given 777 and still getting this error.

Thanks

Anyone can give us some help with this? Get the error but everything looks fine: ext dir set to:
/var/www/drupal/sites/default/files/civicrm/extensions/
jdieter@ubuntuServer74:/var/www/drupal/sites/default/files/civicrm$ ls -l
total 20
drwxrwxrwx 2 www-data www-data 4096 2012-01-12 10:23 custom
drwxrwxrwx 4 www-data www-data 4096 2011-11-01 15:44 extensions

The bug report at http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-8696 indicates that this is fixed in 4.1
