Is there any way to configure civimal to allow recipients of certain mailings to reply to all? We are interested because we send mailings to groups that are registered in classes or members of committees and it would be useful if in certain circumstances civimail could be more like a listserve.

Currently no plans in the short/medium term to make civimail a listserv :) your best bet might be to look into integration with an open source listserv like sympa or mailman

I do think that making civimail a listserv open up a whole new set of complexity that we should avoid
