Advanced Search Membership Results Customize

I currently have a 3.4 CiviCRM install working great but I need to customize the search results for the advanced search when the "Display Results As" dropdown is on Memberships. For each membership we have some custom data fields that really need to show up in the results.

I've looked into creating a view using profiles, but as soon as I chose any fields from the membership stuff I was unable to make them show up in the results.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You will need to do this by implementing the buildForm hook on the search page.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to do so in the current release. If your org is interested in contributing a patch and/or sponsoring this feature that would be great

I ended up editing a few templates and creating some custom queries. It was very hackish but it works. I'm hoping to improve on it in the future. I don't know civicrm well enough to really contribute a patch just yet, but it looks like I'll be spending some serious time with this application, so maybe in the future. When you say "sponsoring this feature", I'm assuming you mean pay one of the developers to write it for me? How much, roughly, would something like this cost?
