CiviMobile

I was wondering about the status of CiviMobile and if the presentation in London will be made available to the public (as I can't attend).

For our organization which is focussing on providing events to their members I was looking at creating a mobile application which allows quick signup to events and get access to mailings send out. As I know ExtJS quite well I was looking at using Sencha Touch for that.

But there is no use in developing a different solution if there has already some effort been made. Just wanted to make sure that the effort has indeed been made and that the road taken with jquery mobile is the one to settle on.

That's a shame. Yeap, will make the slides available, but you can download the ones from the presentation of the last civicon (kyle jaster)

The status is that it's a proof of concept that works with contact search and event search.

It's using the api via ajax, you could use whatever you want.

This being said, I would strongly suggest you to try working using CiviMobile or another mobile jquery solution that is open source. You might want to start downloading and testing CiviMobile?

As the rest of civi is build using jquery, I think it's an easier road to go jquery as for civimobile. If you can't make it for civicon, you might be able to join virtually for the sprint after that?
