Website Payments Pro

I'm running into problems with Paypal's Website Payments Pro function - can't get the sandbox to work, basically. I setup all the necessary accounts in Paypal's sandbox, and have verified with them that the API info I'm using works. It doesn't, however, in either Civicrm, or Ubercart's payment processors. The included express payments button does, but not the Pro aspect. I'm not using a dedicated ip address at the moment, or SSL and am wondering if that might be the cause.

I've checked throughout the forums and can't find anything about this particular issue - the error message civicrm returns is "Could not find a user name for payment processor" though lately I've also been gettting Internal Server Errors (500) . Ugh.

Any help would be appreciated! I've also got a question in with my hosting service (Cartika)
