Searching for multiple choices in a custom field
August 19, 2011, 02:13:01 pm
In the latest version, is it possible to search for multiple options of a custom field when the custom field is one where each record could only choose one custom field.  And can you do this without search builder?  For example, in a legislator field each contact could only be in one legislative district, but I'd like to be able to search for all the records in several legislative districts - and without using search builder.  Thanks!

No. It's not currently possible to specify a different field type for input form vs. search form (which is what you need). You might be able to add some jQuery logic to the edit form which would transform a multi-select field to a single select (since the options would be the same).
