Development of SEPA module
August 28, 2011, 11:27:01 pm
We are developing a module for processing SEPA (European monetary banking standard) payment records into CiviCRM. Anyone interested in co-writing this PHP- or Java-based software?

Can you expand a little on what you want to achieve? Our customers do not voice this need currently, but from the last CiviCRM meetup in Benelux there is a growing interest in an iDeal payment processor?

Sorry for this late response - but I did not see your post any earlier!

SEPA will be of great importance in the future - such as the so called "Lastschrifteinzugsverfahren" is currently in Germany! SEPA will be a european standard, but basically with the same functionality as the current "Lastschrifteinzugsverfahren".

We are using CiviCRM in our organisation, the FoeBuD, since this year, and are currently finishing the implementation of the "Lastschrifteinzugsverfahren". In case, that you did not start yet, you might want to get in contact with us, in order to coordinate how to integrate the new functionality into CiviCRM?

Regards,
Detlev

Hi Detlev,

I am aware of the SEPA European rules, but most of our customers do not process payments with CiviCRM so we should be OK. If not, we will certainly be in touch!!!!!!!

Keeping an eye on it too, no direct need for any of my customers, but seems to be a step in the good direction
