Contribution report templates misleadingly named
September 02, 2011, 07:20:56 am
Hi all,

Looking at 'Reports' > 'Create Reports from Templates' the names of the contribution report templates don't seem to be that great.  The donor/donation terminology seems to be misleading as these reports don't necessarily show donations they could be event fees etc.

Below is a list of replacement names that we think are good.

We've filed an issue for this -CRM-8752 and will carry out the work, but would like to get feedback about whether people think this is a good idea and any suggestions you might have.
Please let us know what you think.

thanks
Peter

Perhaps all the template names could end with the word "template" , such as "Contribution detail report template"

Hopefully this will eliminate confusion about when you are looking at a report template, or a report instance.
