How to customize the fields for contact in a group?
September 07, 2011, 02:49:51 pm
I created some groups to organize contacts. I am not sure what I did before, but when I looked at the fields for the contact, they are not exactly the information I want for the contacts. Here are a screen capture of what they include now:

How can I add more fields or delete those I don't want to include?

Thanks.

The image you show is from the Search screen - not one of the contacts so your question isn't making sense yet. If you have fields for the contact, then click on eg smith and look either in their Summary screen or in the Tab you created

Hello zither,

If you want the data collected to be available on the search screen, you need to make sure that 1) the profile is set to be used for search views, and 2) the visibility of the field you want to see is set to  public pages.

Conversely, if you want to "hide" certain fields on the search page, make sure that the field's visibility is not set as public.

Once you have all of the fields you want to be available for a search in the same profile, go to Administer-->Customize Data and Screens-->Search Preferences. Scroll down to Default Contact Search Profile and select your profile from the dropdown. Select save, and your searches should now display the Columns that you wanted.

Hope this helps,
Jason
