Double optin Feature for profile

Hi

I have enabled the double opt in feature by adding following lines in civicrm.settings.php

define( 'CIVICRM_PROFILE_DOUBLE_OPTIN', 1 );
define( 'CIVICRM_PROFILE_ADD_TO_GROUP_DOUBLE_OPTIN', 1 );

I found in profile form ,after registering the mail is not going out.For this double optin i hope the civimail component is to be enabled.eventhough i am not seeing mail are not going out.

Can any one please help ?
