Merging duplicates and Fuzzy matching
September 12, 2011, 11:55:36 am
We have been trying to use a fuzzy matching rule to find duplicate accounts using weights for last name and first name.  When the list appears I would like to be able to sort the contacts by  the threshold (as we have to many that match on last name alone > 4000), but  you cannot click on threshold (or any of the fields)  to sort based on that field.

I thought  that previous versions returned the duplicates sorted by the threshold;  that does not seem to be the case now.

Hello mclyde,

Have you tried Adding a rule? Once there you can set up the fields you'd like the rule to consider and also the weight threshold you would like the rule to consider. Setting it to consider both first and last name might solve your issue.

Cheers,
Jason
