Question about ACLs

I'm trying to help the Akeeba backup people with a problem where the ACL setup is not being backed up/restored

Where is the ACL information stored please - that is set when you log into the Joomla backend, select Components/CiviCRM followed by Administer/Manage/Access Control and finally Joomla Access Control

that is stored in joomla's acl table(s). dont know the exact location, but i suspect it will be in some "*acl*" tables :).

We basically bring up a joomla page that users can set various controls
