Is CiviCRM good for Save a Leg Save a Life ?
September 14, 2011, 08:01:20 am
Hi, I run a web site for a non profit organization. The set up of our membership is local chapters throughout the country. Each chapter pays dues and has its group of members consisting of chairpersons, chair contact person and other members. Can CiviCRM help keep track of each local chapter individually as groups and whether or not they are up to date with dues ? How else might CiviCRM be good for us ?

Thanks,
Tony

I suppose you could setup each chapter as an Organizational Contact and then you can create a relationship for each member, to his chapter.

Then the Org could have a paid membership which is tracked by CiviCRM, yes.

Well it does thousands of things, like take donations, send emails, do event registrations, track data on members etc. etc. Depends on what you want. :)

Oh well, any alternatives or suggestions ?

you might want to consider using civihosting in the US or civisites in the UK. These folks seem to know what they are doing :) and are also very involved in the community!
