Viewing group parents/hierarchies
September 16, 2011, 02:57:27 pm
All our groups are parented as we work with three layer hierarchies, identifying the area and region each group belongs to.  While we have views showing hierarchies, it would be really useful to be able to see the hierarchy at a glance on the manage groups page and the ability to sort by hierarchy would provide a quick reference system.  Might this be possible?

One interim solution is to make the Description column sortable (as it's the only column on the Manage Groups page which isn't).  People could then use that to identify hierarchies by choosing to make their descriptions standardised (Area code / Region code / Group name) and then sorting by Description.  It could be an easily implemented and simple stop-gap solution.  I know my organisation would appreciate it!
