post hook, UFMatch object

documentation for the post hook indicates its triggered by a UFMatch object action:
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/CiviCRM+hook+specification#CiviCRMhookspecification-hookcivicrmpost

doesn't seem to work for me. and I searched the code for where that hook is called with that object, but couldn't find it.
is that no longer available? it would be nice to restore it. what i'm looking for is a way to trigger code at the point a user account is created within a civicrm profile.

I think you could re-instate it / create it.
