support for Delete operations in ACLs

It would have been nice on a current project if there was support for Delete as well as View and Edit operations in ACLs for contacts. Search seems to come automatically with View, but Delete doesn't come automatically with Edit.

Are there any plans for this to be implemented in upcoming releases? How much would it cost approximately? Is it a good MIH candidate?

As mentioned on IRC yesterday, there are no current plans right now for this to be implemented. ACL's are being used by a much smaller fraction of the user base. If i had to guess this will need to come in either as a code contribution and/or as an MIH (with some lead sponsors to bootstrap the MIH)

I'm thinking this is a 40-70 hour project. We'd want to clean and optimize the ACL code significantly while we are doing it to make it more efficient and scale it a lot better than it currently is
