i've created some custom profiles to be used for civievents.   

im trying to add another custom profile, but i dont see the " (x) civievent , is there a limit to how many profiles i can have.. i currently have 4 custom profiles for the events.

Each event can have a maximum of two profiles linked to it ("top" and "bottom of page"). However, you can create an unlimited number of profiles and they can be shared between different events.

The (x) CiviEvent read-only checkbox in the Profile Settings appears automatically after you've assigned that profile to some Event via Manage Events >> Configure >> Online Registration. It's purpose is to visually indicate that the Profile is being "used" by one or more Events.
