Autofilling Status Change
September 23, 2011, 11:38:17 pm
I have just got CiviCRM installed and the bounce and auto filling configured correctly

I noticed that when the emails are processed to Activities the Status is set to "Completed"

Is it possible to have them the status set to something other than "completed"

When you are setting up a new Mail account it would be great to be able to select the Status option for an account.

If you are sending emails out then the Status of "Completed" might be fine.  If you receive an email from a client or an inquiry of some sorts it would be good to have it set to "Active".

If we were able to set these on a per account basis that would be great.

Currently this is not possible.

EmailProcessor initial goal was to keep an archive of the mails received and not as the primary mail handling mechanism

I suspect this requirement is better fulfilled via a hook rather than doing it per account type. The hook implementation can then decide based on account type / content of email / whos involved and then modify the activity appropriately. For now you can probably do it in the "post" hook for activity
